About Jemma

A practice built on twenty-five years of careful work.

I'm a State Registered Podiatrist and member of the Health and Care Professions Council. I qualified in 1999 after a three-year degree in Podiatry at the London Foot Hospital, then part of University College London.

Every year I invest in continuing professional development — most recently completing a course in Foot Mobilisation Techniques, which uses joint mobilisation and myofascial work to relieve common foot problems including bunions, ankle instability, and heel pain.

My main clinic is The Hendale Clinic — a purpose-built, self-contained facility at my home in Hendon with free off-street parking and easy access. On Mondays and Thursdays I see patients at Elliott Hall Medical Centre in Hatch End. For patients who can't easily travel, I also offer home visits.

The two terms describe the same profession. "Podiatrist" is the more current term used by the College of Podiatry and the HCPC. Both refer to a qualified specialist in foot and lower limb care.

No — as a private practice, you can book directly without a referral. If you'd like, I can write to your GP after your appointment to keep them informed.

First consultations are typically 45–60 minutes to allow for a full assessment. Follow-up appointments are usually 30–40 minutes, depending on what's needed.

Patients can claim through most major insurers. I'll provide a detailed receipt for you to submit. Please check with your provider in advance to confirm your level of cover.

Yes. Domiciliary visits are available across north and northwest London for patients who have difficulty travelling. Home visit fees are slightly higher to cover travel time.

A list of any medications you're currently taking, the footwear you wear most often, and details of any relevant medical conditions or recent diagnoses. If you've had X-rays or scans of your feet, those are useful too.

The Hendale Clinic has free off-street parking. Elliott Hall Medical Centre has parking on-site and on adjacent streets. Both clinics are also accessible by public transport.

Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged the full appointment fee.
